Studio Disaster

Well, I keep getting sidetracked on organizing my studio. Each time I go up there, it is to finish something that I am working on. Then, I bought more shelves and have not put them together. So, in general, I keep making excuses. As you can see, it is an absolute disaster! I am hoping that before the new year I get motivated enough to organize the damn place! This is why I am posting this here. I hope to post before and after pics. Maybe by making my mess public, it will help me want to organize it! We'll see!

Yep. Been there...actually go there weekly! What I recently began trying is, since I don't do alot of work on the weekends, to either tidy up for the last hour of the day on Friday or escape out there and do it at some point during the weekend, so on Monday morning I can walk in and get to work without being overwhelmed by the old mess. Seems to be working so far! Good luck!

Looks like mine if you add empty boxes & reams of wrapping paper. Have just enough room to sit at computer - sigh! Glad to know I'm not alone - good luck ;D

Thank God there is someone else out there in the world whos studio looks like mine. I was going to blog about it later this week. I picked up that Clothe Scissors Paper issue about Studios and I can't imagine that people actuallycreate in such cleanliness...thanks for showing off

Get organized dammit! I have gotten myself involved with the Crayola Model Magic again. This time I am not making dead babies. I'll take a picture and send it to you when I am finished.

Oh, I'm right there with you. I'm hoping to get it together in the next few weeks, but since my studio is the catch-all/dumping ground for the holidays I have some xtra stuff to deal with.

At least you have a path to walk in! LOL

I have tons of shelves, tubs, drawers. I am overloaded with supplies. So on top of all the drawers are ziplock bags with items that won't fit in the drawers. First I thought I'd just buy more drawers to stack all the way to the ceiling. but I rethought that! I am finishing all the projects from things on one rack/shelf and then on to the next shelves or drawers. So as I list items on etsy, they will be from one extreme to another depending on which supplies I use first.

I totally relate! The more organized I get, the more stuff shows up, the more I need to organize, etc, etc,...

Okay, yes, it's pretty bad! Mine's bad too. I started cleaning yesterday, thinking I wanted to start the new year with a clean space, but I didn't finish.

I am a neat-freak trapped in a slob's body ...
