Studio Disaster

Well, I keep getting sidetracked on organizing my studio. Each time I go up there, it is to finish something that I am working on. Then, I bought more shelves and have not put them together. So, in general, I keep making excuses. As you can see, it is an absolute disaster! I am hoping that before the new year I get motivated enough to organize the damn place! This is why I am posting this here. I hope to post before and after pics. Maybe by making my mess public, it will help me want to organize it! We'll see!

Army Arts and Crafts Contest 2008

Back in May, I saw a flyer for the 2008 All Army Arts and Crafts Contest. It is a juried contest that is open to all MWR patrons (active duty, retired, reserve, civilian employees and their family members). I decided at the last minute to finish a piece that I was working on and enter it. Low and behold, I ended up winning 1st place in the 3-D mixed media category along with a $300 check.

Winter Rain

So, it has rained here for the past 2 days. It snowed to the north and to the south of where I live. But, rain is beautiful! And I prove it here in this wonderful treasury that I feature on Etsy. I happen to see optimism when others see pessimism. Check out this great group of handcrafted items!

Relax?

I know this is such a crazy time of year, but it seems like trying to balance life in general around this time of year is hard! It looks like there is not much relaxing for me in the next few weeks. I have never looked so forward to January!
